DETROIT -- Auto-parts suppliers specializing in sensor technology, artificial intelligence and connected mobility are among the 35 finalists for the 2019 Automotive News PACE Awards.
The list, announced Friday, reflects the degree to which parts markers are embracing change to deliver industry-moving technology innovations.
The 35 finalists for the awards, which will be presented April 8 in Detroit, represent 31 companies.
The PACE Awards, in their 25th year, are given to suppliers for game-changing product and process innovations that have succeeded in reaching the market. Winners are determined by an independent panel of judges.
"This global field of PACE finalists illustrates the technological transformation that's taking place in the industry," said J Ferron, PACE director of judging, in announcing the list. For the 2018 program, 15 winners were selected from a field of 33 finalists.
